Looking to the future
Based on the platform of its American cousin Jeep Compass , the Tonale benefits not only from a solid chassis, but also from an imposing stature, ie a length of 4.52 m, which allows it to taunt its direct competitors, namely the BMW X2 and Mercedes GLA.
The design of the Tonale interprets in every detail the typically Italian sporting DNA, with regard to its powerful line and its muscular volumes. The Milanese newborn seems decidedly forward-looking by adopting state-of-the-art systems. Demonstration with the specific 18-inch rims, which reveal the red calipers, signed Brembo. The Tonale is characterized by technical features that enhance the sportiness of the vehicle and guarantee a driving experience in full respect of Alfa Romeo tradition.
Quirky style
To seduce, the Tonale plays the style card to the fullest. Its silhouette refers to the past, as evidenced by its grille inspired by the SZ coupé of the early 1990s, or the three square headlamps that frame it on each side. The particularity of the latter lies in the “Adaptive Driving Beam” function, which constantly adjusts the beam of the dipped beam headlights depending on the speed and driving conditions.
Sculptural, the profile is punctuated by rounded lines and volumes highlighting the sportiness of a purebred Alfa vehicle. Just as it inherits the five-hole “telephone” rims from the 147 GTA.
Techno atmosphere
The passenger compartment is modern with a so-called “Cannoncchiale” dashboard.
