The facelifted T-Cross was spotted almost without camouflage 2023

We got our very first glimpse of the facelifted Volkswagen T-Cross in February this year, and then another prototype was spied around mid-April. Today, here's a fresh batch of spy shots featuring the entry-level SUV, and in these the model is nearly devoid of camouflage.

There are still a few, however.  Looking closer, you'll notice the front fascia has a clever disguise around the fog lights, which mimics the look of the  current  T-Cross .  However, the clusters will get a new shape along with the headlights, which will also get a new exterior shape.  The upper grille looks a little bigger and features a new pattern.  Changes were also made to the lower grille of the bumper.

Nothing new under the hood

The situation is similar at the rear.  There's tape that hides parts of the lights, hinting at new internal graphics for the LED units.  The front bumper could also be revised.

Despite some novelties on the look side, there is nothing to report for the engine department. In Europe, the 1.0-litre three-cylinder TSI will continue to serve as the base option, while the four-cylinder 1.5 TSI will remain the flagship engine.  A 1.6-liter diesel version was previously available for the crossover, but this is no longer an option in most Old Continent markets.

The facelifted T-Cross is expected to debut no later than a few months, and possibly go on sale before the end of 2023. Positioned below the T-Roc in Volkswagen's heavy-duty crossover model lineup , the smaller vehicle shares its basic  underpinnings with the Polo (which unfortunately is no longer up to date) and competes with the Ford Puma among others.
